Flexo Printing Unit Series

Our high-performance flexo printing units accommodate a wide range of applications in the

series. They are suitable for printing on webs made from a wide variety of materials with highly viscous water or solvent-based inks and UV inks. Due to their individual conception according to customer-specific requirements, our flexo printing units can be equipped with different ink supply systems, viscosity controls and drying systems.We supply a wide range of accessories for our printing units in the ALVAR® product group and can meet your individual wishes and requirements.

Series ALVAR® mini

Our ALVAR® mini series comprises small, low-cost printing units with a fixed format which are equipped with a friction drive as standard or optionally with a servo motor drive. The working area is between approx. 75 mm to approx. 600 mm. The printing units are supplied with fixed repeats according to the customer's specifications. Almost all web materials can be printed. The flexo printing units of the ALVAR® mini series are easy to handle and maintain. No tools are required for their operation. The printing units have a chambered doctor blade system with a sealed chamber to prevent unwanted ink leakage, ensuring optimum printing results throughout the entire printing process.

Series ALVAR® gear

The printing units of the ALVAR® gear series feature mechanical gear wheel printing units with controlled drive thanks to minimised control technology. The force is transmitted from the impression cylinder to the format cylinder and screen roller via gear wheels and an optimum synchronisation of all rollers is achieved.
The printing units of the ALVAR® gearseries are designed for a workingwidth from approx. 1200 mm, with anadjustment of the maximum working width being made according to the customer's specifications. They are low-maintenance, easy to operate and can also be operated by employees without a substantial knowledge of printing. The infeed, i.e. the adjustment and fine adjustment, is carried out mechanically by hand. The printing units are equipped with a pneumatic pressure on/off function and
with a continuation function, which prevents the inks from drying up during longer interruptions in printing. Format cylinders from other printing units provided by the customer can continue to be used. We equip our printing units according to your specifications with the appropriate cylinder supports.

Series ALVAR® speed

The printing units of our TOP ALVAR® speed series consist of individual printing units arranged in modular design. As full servo printing units, they boast modern PLC control technology, a functional operating panel and each individual roller is driven by a servo motor. The printing units are designed for 1 to 8 colours according to the customer's production requirements. While the screen roller and format cylinder core remain in the press, the screen roller sleeve and format cylinder sleeve are changed quickly and cost-effectively in the press to ensure the shortest possible interruption to production. In the optionally available electronic job memory, all press-related print settings for a print job are stored in a retrievable manner for repeat execution, so that even smaller print jobs can be executed extremely economically in cases of repetition. The lateral register adjustment with controlled servo motor ensures exact positioning of the printing units. Precise longitudinal register adjustment is achieved by synchronising the speeds of the screen roller, format cylinder and impression cylinder in the press control system.
