Energy-efficient production
- Our products are manufactured in an energy-efficient manner, and the majority of our purchased parts are selected according to strict sustainability criteria. We have installed a photovoltaic system in order to cover our own energy requirements sustainably and secure our energy independence. As a result, we are proud to operate as an energy-neutral company.
Innovative solutions for saving energy
- Another example of our commitment to the environment is our wood gasification heating system, that utilises recyclable pallets to generate energy. We also promote the use of bike leasing, to reduce the carbon footprint of journeys between home and work. Our vehicle fleet includes electric and hybrid vehicles, and our production facilities switch off automatically when they are not in use. Motion detectors in our buildings help to minimise light consumption.
Continuous improvement
- We continuously address environmental aspects and regularly analyse our company's performance. Our aim is to further reduce packaging and make purchasing more CO₂-neutral. In future, an environmental balance sheet will help us to track exactly where CO₂ emissions are generated and how we can reduce them.
Partnership for sustainability
- In dialogue with our suppliers of purchased parts, we are constantly working to take sustainability aspects into account. We currently measure our electricity consumption via an app that displays supply and consumption. In the long term, we aim to further optimise our environmental footprint.

By using digitization and artificial intelligence, we can further reduce our CO₂ emissions in production and increase our competitiveness. We create secure jobs with stable incomes and are actively involved in various social projects that benefit both the community and animals. An open corporate culture and respectful treatment of all employees ensure that we not only preach social responsibility, but actively practise it.
Supported projects
Equiwent – Blacksmiths without borders
A project close to our hearts is Equiwent, which is committed to rescuing working horses in Romania. Equiwent also supports humanitarian projects to benefit economically disadvantaged populations and carries out neutering programmes for dogs in Romania. Our love of animals is also reflected in our work to procure and distribute food for deserving animal organisations in the region.
Supported projects
Sport and club sponsorship
We support local sports clubs such as Viktoria 08 and SV Harderberg, which play an important role in youth work. At the same time, we use these partnerships to showcase the training opportunities at our company and to strengthen the community. We also support city marketing in Georgsmarienhütte, such as through the drive-in cinema or GMH on ICE.
